Chili & Garlic Snack Mix

This was a "meh" recipe. I made it to have something different in the house to snack on, but it sort of just sat around after the first night. Maybe if we had it out at a party it would be better? I would definitely up the amount of garlic and chili powder. You can't taste them at all, and considering they're listed in the title, I feel like you should be able to taste them. Am I right?
  • 3 cups Cheerios cereal
  • 3 cups corn chips (broken in half, if desired)
  • 1 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 1 cup thin pretzel sticks
  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Heat oven to 300 degrees. In a large bowl, mix cereal, corn chips, peanuts and pretzels. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; pour over cereal mixture. Toss until evenly coated. In ungreased 15x10 inch pan, spread cereal mixture.

Bake uncovered 15 minutes; stirring once. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store in airtight container.
