Peanut Butter Banana Cream Bites

Peanut butter, chocolate and bananas. It's like they were made for each other. This recipe gets a little messy, and my "bites" definitely don't look as nice as the ones on the original recipe, but hey, they taste the same in my belly!
  •  2 large bananas
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp - 1/4 cup milk of choice
Line cookie sheet with waxed paper or parchment. Slice bananas into coins about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Spread a dollop of peanut butter on top of each one.

In a small bowl, combine chocolate chips and some milk. Microwave in 15-second intervals until you can whisk them together. It needs to be dip-able consistency, not spreadable. Dip the bananas into the chocolate using a fork (and possibly a spoon).

Place chocolate coated bananas on the prepared cookie sheet and place in freezer until completely frozen (3-5 hours). Remove bananas from cookie sheet and store in a container in the freezer.

NOTE: The original recipe called for natural peanut butter, probably to cut down on sugars and all that. I totally used regular. They were delicious.

Also, my peanut butter kept sliding off the top of my bananas. I'm wondering if slicing and chilling the bananas would work better? And when you put the hot chocolate on top of the peanut butter, it sort of melts it all, making things even more messy. I just made do.

Serves 6

Total Time: 15 minutes, plus chilling
