Sugar Cookie M&M Bars

I wasn't so sure about these. I cooked them according to the directions but they still seemed veerrrry gooey in the middle. I didn't have time to mess with it so I cut them up as best I could and plated them. Apparently they were really good. I had several people at the shindig I took them to tell me they really liked them. Maybe I would put them two smaller pans next time? They still tasted pretty good when I got around to sampling them.
  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup M&M candies
  • 1 cup vanilla baking chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix cookie mix, butter and egg with a spoon until soft dough forms. Stir in 1/2 cup of the candies and white vanilla baking chips. Press dough in bottom of the pan. Sprinkle remaining candies over the top.

Bake 22 to 24 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on a cooling rack, about an hour. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store in an airtight container.
