This recipe has come up twice recently and I couldn't easily find it in the store. A little bit of Googling helped me make a homemade version with what we had on hand. I still haven't had the "real" stuff so I'm not sure how close it is to the original, but it worked for us!
- 2 Tbsp dried oregano, preferably Turkish or Greek
- 2 Tbsp sumac or lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp dried marjoram or additional oregano
- 1 Tbsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp fine sea salt
Mix spices together ands tore in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
Makes 1/2 cup
