I've been going through my old cookbooks in the cupboard and have found some fun retro ones. This one is specifically recipes for kids, that kids can help make. I liked this one for a colorful summertime drink.
- 6 oz frozen lemonade
- 2 1/2 cups club soda or seltzer
- 12 drops blue food coloring
- 12 ice cubes
- 4 orange or lemon slices
Add lemonade and club soda to a 1 quart pitcher. Stir until lemonade is melted and well mixed. Add food coloring and stir well.
Set out 4 glasses, placing 3 ice cubes in each. Put 1 slice of lemon into each glass and fill each with lemon fizz. Serve immediately.
NOTE: You can always make this a more adult beverage by swapping the club soda for champagne or perhaps something like Smirnoff Ice.
Serves 4
Total Time: 5 minutes
