Air Fryer Sweet & Sour Pork

We've had pretty good luck with the air fryer so far. Even though ours isn't the typical machine you see in stores now (with a tray and temperature settings) we are still able to use it and guess on how long something should cook. We also liked this recipe even though it was pork. We've had some dry pork recipes in the past but this one turned out pretty good!

  • 2nd attempt
1/2 cup unsweetened crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pork tenderloin (about 3/4 lb) halved
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • cooking spray
  • sliced green onions, optional
In a small saucepan, combine the first 8 ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

1st attempt
Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees. Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. Place pork on greased tray in air fryer basket; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until pork begins to brown around the edges, 7-8 minutes. Turn; pour 2 Tbsp sauce over pork. Cook until a thermometer inserted into the pork reads at least 145 degrees, 10-12 minutes longer. Let pork stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with remaining sauce. If desired, top with sliced green onions.
