- 1 pack boneless, thin cut pork loin chops (about 1.25 lb)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
NOTES: It was an easy recipe. I thought it was a bit too soy sauce-y tasting, but Doug said it was fine. If it were up to me, I'd add just a bit more pineapple juice.
Now on to our experiments. I will list below the ingredients and then a short summary of our thoughts.
Sour cream and onion with ranch dressing - tasted too much like ranch dressing. I kept expecting to hear the crunch of a carrot in my mouth instead of a pork chop.
Chipotle pepper dry rub - spicy, in my opinion, but Doug loved it. Very flavorful.
Santa Maria seasoning - waaaay too salty, but good flavor. Just needs less seasoning since apparently the dry seasonings penetrate the meat well
Maple syrup and apple cider vinegar - gross. I don't know what we were thinking.
Garlic salt with parsley, onion powder - flavorful. A little too salty so maybe just use garlic powder instead of garlic salt next time? Just add a pinch of salt.
Brown sugar with Indian Brown Ale - tasted like nothing. Just meat. Definitely needed a lot more brown sugar.
