Stockholm Royale

NOTE: A single serving will look a lot
prettier than this pitcher. I had to make sure
it was well-mixed.
One of my co-workers always asks for this drink while we are in Las Vegas and the bartenders have never heard of it. I even have a handy-dandy Mixology app and it doesn't have this recipe either. I did a little research and found out that this drink is native to central California. I'm not sure who invented it, but I know it's on the menu at Bobby Salazar's Mexican Food. No matter its provenance, this is a dang good drink and very simple to make. I made an entire pitcher for our latest Oscar's party and had to hurry up and make more!
  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1.5 oz Triple Sec
  • splash of sweet & sour
  • Champagne
  • splash of Chambord
  • lime and sugar for rim
Rim your glass with lime juice and sugar. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; add vodka, Triple Sec, and sweet & sour. Shake to mix and chill; pour and fill glass about half full. Pour champagne in glass till almost full. Top with Chambord.
