I found this recipe when attempting to make homemade chicken taquitos. Based on a dish our family had at a local restaurant, we thought this might be a close approximation. The sauce ended up being really good and the boys used it as a dip and drizzle for other things (burgers, rice, etc.).
- 1 large avocado, ripe
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 tsp sea salt or kosher salt
- pinch of black pepper
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth and creamy with no lumps. Taste and add additional seasoning if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Makes 1 cup
Total Time: 5 minutes
