VERY strong. If you like strong margaritas, this one is for you. I added some more lemon and simple syrup to balance things out a but, but whew! Man! It was a bit much for me. I'll leave the recipe as I found it, but feel free to modify to your taste.

I know these are martini glasses and not margarita glasses. It's what we had available! |
- 4 Meyer lemons
- 2 Tbsp sea salt
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 4 oz Agave or Reposado tequila
- 4 oz Triple Sec (Cointreau)
- 1 cup ice
Juice all lemons, using a sieve to avoid any seeds. In a large cocktail shaker, add 1 cup ice cubes, 4 oz lemon juice, 4 oz Cointreau, and 4 oz tequila. Cover and shake well with ice. Gently strain into margarita glasses. Serve with a garnish of lemon and cilantro, if desired.
Serves 2
