Italian Spiced Bread Dip

My mom found this recipe in one of her cooking magazines and passed it along to me. I tried it out at a party a while back and thought I'd share it. If any of you have been to an Italian restaurant, lots of times they will bring you bread and a plate of spiced and olive oil. This is the same type of thing.

In my opinion, the spice balance was a little off. I don't know enough about the specific spice tastes to tell you which one was too strong, but one was. I would suggest making this your own and mix and match some different spices to get a unique flavor.

Add 1 Tablespoon of the following to an airtight container:
  • oregano
  • rosemary
  • basil
  • parsley
  • garlic powder
  • coarsely ground black pepper
  • crushed red pepper
Add drop of lemon juice and olive oil to plate. Sprinkle spice mix in oil, dip in bread.
