Air Fryer Garlic Shrimp with Lemon

We served this with pasta to add a little heft to the meal. Really, it was a simple recipe, but it was very bland. Now, we didn't put chili flakes on it, but it just didn't have flavor. You don't add the lemon until the end so it doesn't soak in too much to the meat. I know you can't leave uncooked seafood sitting in citrus too long, but I'd like to try adding the flavor before starting the air fryer. I feel like it might make a big difference in this case.
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled, de-veined
  • vegetable oil or cooking spray to coat shrimp
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • lemon wedges
  • minced parsley or chili flakes, optional
In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the oil. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and toss to evenly coat the shrimp. Add shrimp to air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry at 400 degrees for about 10-14 minutes, gently shaking and flipping halfway, depending on the size of the shrimp. Transfer shrimp to bowl, squeeze lemon juice on top. Sprinkle parsley and/or chili flakes and serve hot.
